Just Trading - a new international partnership
Updated: Oct 3, 2018
Speaking to the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool, Barry Gardiner MP, Labour's Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade, announced the launch of the Just Trading initiative.
The international partnership would, he said, bring together: "sister parties and like-minded legislators working to create a progressive new ‘best in class’ free trade agenda based on dignity, sovereignty, high quality jobs and the public good. A community agreeing trade deals based on Just relationships and our shared values." Just Trading will allow for progressive politicians across the world to share ideas and reach consensus on matters of trade policy and legislation in order to establish a fair platform on which to take the rules-based international trading system forward.
